Kirby Morgan Surface Supplied MOD-1 Full Face Diving Mask

The Surface Supplied MOD-1 is designed for the dive team requiring a lightweight and durable commercial diving mask. An advanced MOD-1 mask model with specialized passages that allow venting the upper eye cavity is paired with a very comfortable extra stretchy 7 mm attached hood.
The new pod is constructed of high-quality materials, including titanium and specialty polymers to increase durability and eliminate corrosion. The threaded inserts in the jaw frame are used to securely fasten the pod to the mask, unlike other M-48 configurations that allow pods to be removed and replaced by hand without the use of tools. This pod is fixed in place but is easily removable for any required service.
This unique Surface Supplied pod incorporates a side block with two inlets. One for main gas, and the other for the EGS supply, a complete, modular communications system is neatly tucked in close and well protected, and terminates into a newly designed KMDSI 4 pin waterproof connector. The oral cavity has an extremely low volume that greatly reduces residual levels of CO2.

• CommunicationsThe communications are modular, with earphone/microphone elements routed to an externally mounted communication module which is easily removed and replaced if needed.
• Jumper HoseThis commercial grade hood, at 7 mm, also includes earphone pockets. The attached hood is easily removed for cleaning, drying or replacement using the Hood Mount Block Studs.
• Surface Supplied MOD-1 RegulatorA “jumper” scuba hose must always be used to connect the main gas supply through a one way valve and to the side block on the pod. A big bore "jumper" hose comes with the pod which includes an adapter to secure the one way valve directly to the umbilical gas supply hose.
• Surface Supplied PodThe pod includes the weight, regulator, communications and side block as one complete unit.
• Surface Supplied Side BlockThe linking component to the regulator, from the side block, is made out of titanium for strength and to eliminate corrosion, and excess weight. The body and additional metal components are made from 316L stainless steel. The design of the control valves is extremely simple and easy to maintain.
• Vent HolesThe mask skirt has two vent holes located in each eye cavity of the mask. Using the defogger control knob and inhaling through the nose, defogs the lenses with ease.
